Two December publications! At the beginning of the month, “Tight Lines” came out in Factor Four Magazine. The story uses flyfishing as a metaphor for the first contact with an alien civilization. The term “tight lines” comes from a greeting that people who flyfish often pass between themselves.

At the end of the month, MetaStellar published “Disgruntled.” This story takes the form of a corporate form requesting information about a customer’s wish to cancel a subscription. The customer is a witch, and she’s been having some difficulty casting her spells.

2022 has been my most successful year in writing. I wrote 23 new short stories and 10 of them were sold—six of them to professional publications. Looking forward to 2023 and new opportunities in speculative fiction and visual art. Happy New Year!
